Citing ‘unforeseen circumstances,’ Liz announced on Twitter yesterday evening that she would have to cancel her US dates on Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill Tour where she was slated to be the opening act alongside Garbage.

The tour, which was announced over a year ago, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, is still slated to kick off on August 12, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Both Phair and Garbage have supported Morissette on tour previously in 1998.

Former Matador label-mate, Cat Power, is scheduled to replace Phair on the US dates.
